AREAS OF FOCUS AND CHALLENGES FOR THE PEOPLE OF ANIOMA
Fifteen Propose Bills
My mandate from the people of Anioma would be leveled upon the grounds for discussions, forum, network and solutions
on issues and problems hindering the growth and development of the lands and people of
Delta North
My goal for Delta North District is pivoted upon the fundamental development of the grassroots; through empowerment, awareness
and self determination for structured growth and development.
1. UNITY – Uniting the sons and daughters of Anioma for growth and development through dialogue, networking and service.
2. STATE CREATION – Propose and support bill that would initiate the process for the creation of Anioma
State through a structured outline of the ethno-cultural needs and benefits
as oppose geo-political.
3. POLITY – Propose and support bill that would help create political awareness and sensitive the people of Delta North in the polity
and governance of the country. Create a network and interactive forum / sessions within Anioma to build political awareness.
4. EDUCATION –Propose and
support bill for free education scheme for Nigerian children up to secondary school level, -NO NIGERIAN CHILD LEFT BEHIND
Propose and support bill for structured free
adult education scheme with emphasis on “training and rehabilitation to serve the people of Delta north “
Propose and support bill to encourage parents
to send their children to school. - NO ANIOMA CHILD LEFT BEHIND POLICY.
Propose and
support bill that would re-establish the teaching of Nigeria history and Constitution
as a major mandatory subject or course in our nations education system
5. HEALTH – FREE HEALTH INSURANCE SERVICE SCHEME (FHISS)
Propose bill that would establish a national Pediatrics, Geriatrics and Family health insurance
policy.
Propose bill
that would initiate structured programs to build and rehabilitate hospitals, clinics and create regional medical specialist
centers in the nine local government areas of Delta North.
Improve and
equip this centers and hospitals with the necessary amenities, equipments, drugs, laboratories and staffs.
Propose bill
that would provide a national free health insurance program for both the children and elderly of Anioma. The bill would take
into consideration; infants and school age children and adults 60 years and over.
6. ENERGY & POWER –Propose and support bill that would maintain and balance oil, gas and power resources with emphasis on transparency
and equal revenue allocation to Delta North.
Propose and
support bill that would establish an indigenous structural control and organization of the regions energy and power resources.
Propose and
support bill that would maintain the principles of derivation from our lands and people with special concession and royalties
paid to the community. This disbursement would strictly be for equal rehabilitation and development of the region.
7. EMPLOYMENT –Propose and support bill that would establish regional employment program and centers for the un-employed people
of Anioma working with both the private and public sectors in the state.- UNEMPLOYMENT RESERVE SCHEME
8. HOUSING – ANIOMA HOUSING SCHEME:-Propose and support policy that would provide affordable and free housing for the people of
Delta North.
Initiate
a program of senior housing scheme for the elderly and affordable mortgage housing for low and middle income earners.
9. CULTURE AND HERITAGE – PRESERVING ANIOMA CULTURE
AND HERITAGE
Policies to help preserve our culture and heritage by sponsoring bills that would help restore
Anioma”s culture and heritage. Support for cultural enrichment and Anioma Day.
10. INFRASTRUCTURES- Propose and support the establishment of infrastructural development and monitoring scheme for roads, water, Sewer and
sustainable electricity.
11. SECURITY – Propose and support policy that would initiate establishment and rehabilitation of the State police force and
regional vigilante groups.
12. ENVIRONMENT– Propose and support bill that would establish policy and legislature against pollution, degradation, deforestation and
encourage environmentally friendly practices. The Niger Delta Environmental
policy.
13. WOMEN ENPOWERMENT – Propose and support bill to enhance growth of women and encourage women awareness and participation
in the polity of Delta North.
Propose and
support bill that would provide tuition assistance and busary to all Anioma daughters in college.
14.
ECONOMY & COMMERCE – Propose and support bill that would help to encourage both the oil sector and
non oil sector in Anioma; with emphasis on investment in areas of infrastructure, energy, manufacturing and agriculture in
Delta North.
Initiate Traders Investment Policy to
encourage the establishment of businesses in Anioma.
15. AGRICULTURE
– Propose and support bill
that would provide agricultural soft loans and subsidies directly to farmers and ensure availability of training and
adequate technological equipments to the farmers.
